Duibangla Cultural Society of Windsor- Essex was formed in May, 2018 by the committed Bengali representatives of Windsor-Essex with a view to practice their thousand years old values and beliefs that they have inherited from their ancestors. This enthusiastic Bengali speaking society members are from both India and Bangladesh where they withhold and follow same customs

We see every challenge as an opportunity, and our initiative in Dui Bangla Cultural Society of Windsor-Essex ensure that those we serve are better prepared to persevere in the unique situations and preserve our diaspora.
CULTURAL ACTIVITIES
Through our Capacity Building program, we have the potential to make real and positive change. This is one of our key areas of focus here at Duibangla Cultural Society of Windsor-Essex, and a source of much success for our Non-Profit Organization.Celebrating our cultural and culinary roots no matter where in the world you may be is something that Bengali Probashis living abroad lay extra focus on, especially during the annual festival of Sharadiya Durga Puja. To understand how Probashi Bengalis abroad have taken Durga Puja celebrations to a global scale.

POILA BOISHAKH 2023
DUI BANGLA POILA BOISHAKH CELEBRATION
Poila Baishakh or Bengali New Year is celebrated with much splendour among the Bengali communities spread all over the world. The day is observed on the first day of the Bengali calendar, which usually falls either on the 14th or 15th of April. Fairs, cultural events, and food festivals form an integral part of Bengali New Year celebration.
Dui Bangla takes all the initiatives to celebrate Poila Boishakh and our inclusiveness is our strength and forte where we are able to connect with our community and embrace prosperity and happiness.
It is also important for us as we can inculcate our tradition and culture to the next and upcoming generations.

HISTORY
Our Roots
Our history started in 2018 as a not for profit organization. The one only motto of our organization is to organize different cultural and religious events. Throughout the celebration of social, cultural and religious events, we have been trying to shape up and educate our next generation. We held several events such as Durga Pooja, Saraswati Pooja, Holi, Bengali New Year celebration, and yearly get together in a picnic.
